After playing
House House's new game,
Big Walk with my friends, we all fell in love with the game. It's led to countless great memories and hours of fun. After playing, I decided it would be an amazing challenge and a great project to try and recreate the super cute and funny "Walkers" in CAD and then print them to make cool figures for my friends!
The design itself tested some of my CAD modeling skills and I got to learn a lot of new techniques along the way. It was a ton of fun and became a small obsession of mine over about a week's time. The toughest part was the constant prototyping in order to get all of the tolerances correct and to get the spheres to print well. In the end, I achieved my goal of getting everything to press-fit together.
It came out great! Some fun features are that it is totally poseable and the parts can easily be changed out if you ever want to change the colors of your Walker! If you want one, message me through my contact link!
